BLOCK CUTTER FOR MARBLE MODEL "TBM"
TBM block cutting machine is used to transform marble blocks into strips of required thickness and height, with a considerable production due to the high level of automation. Shapeless material, which is worked till the last residue, can be used.
The machine can be programmed to perform the operating cycle automatically.
The bridge translation, rise and descent movement, is easily programmed and controlled electronically by a digital visualiser.
The positioning movement of the horizontal disc spindle is motorized and it allows obtaining high accurate dimensions.
The electronic board consists of a cabinet always placed opposite to the water sprays, having in the front all the machine controls. It shall be noted that among the other characteristics, the feed and reverse speed of the spindles group can be read on a digital visualizer. The machine is provided with any electric and electronic safety devices.
On the bridge, the spindles group movement is controlled by a variable speed motor and a motor speed variator, which allow for an excellent feed control.
The slides, on which the spindle group slides, are made of steel bands inserted into proper slots of the bridge and are protected from dust and water.
The wheel and slides touching, is constantly kept in oil bath.
The machine skeleton rugged columns are made of cast-iron, and the beams connecting the columns are flyer stiffened: all that permits to obtain a strong and close machine.
The bridge on which the spindle group slides, has an iron casting shape particularly suitable to give stiffness and resistance to stresses during the operations.
A sump protects the bridge translation slides. The translation is realized by means of worm reduction units, moved by a single axis with special slakless joints.
Augers and warm reduction units, mounted on the column stops, provide the vertical movement, which assures the maximum accurancy on the 4 columns. The block trolley is sturdy and stably shaped, with steel wheels mounted on oversized bearings.
